VJOSA EXPLORER

"Youth of Shëngjergj as Nature Guide"

"Vjosa Explorer" is an association established one year and half before, composed of 11 members who have been active for more than 5 years in civil society activities and in the development of sustainable tourism in the area of Përmet. The association currently has 1 employee and the other members are volunteering. The overall purpose of the association's activities is the development of sustainable tourism in full respect of environmental protection and preservation.

"Currently we have realized some projects where the most important is the creation of a Tourist Ring in the National Park "Bredhi i Hotovës-Dangëlli", and the realization of 4 Green Paths in the rural area of Përmet Municipality."

Objectives of the Project include preparation of the youth from Shengjergji as nature guide, by training them and enabling to become nature and tourist guide and future competitors in the work market. Improving touristic infrastructure in the area will give to the youth the opportunity to understand European policies and practices for the conservation of nature, to experience it and to offer nature guide service in complying eco standards.
