Guide in nature with high school students of Shëngjergj

On February 21, 2020, the next planned activity of the project “Youth of Shëngjergj as Nature Guides” was organized. The project is implemented by Vjosa Explorer and Milieukontakt Albania, within the framework of WeB4YES project - Western Balkan Civil Society for Youth Employment Support coordinated by Belgrade Open School, with the financial support of European Union.

Only 1 hour from the capital city, Tirana, is located Shëngjergj, one of the most impressive beauties of the Highlands of Tirana. Shëngjergj presents many features, with excellent tourism opportunities for all lovers of nature, extreme sports and local agricultural products.

The realization of the project will provide a concrete opportunity for young people to be guides in their area and improve the tourist infrastructure by creating paths and promoting the area.

The event was attended by two trainers, the project coordinator and 17 young people from the group of guides from "United High School" of Shëngjergj.

The Path passed through Shëngjergj Administrative Unit, Skrep Village, Tirana’s first Albanian School and Rabbit’s Lake.

The young people were practically trained in managing a group of tourists. For some of the students it was their first time walking and visiting this itinerary.
