THE FIRST MEETING OF THE FORUM ON YOUTH (SELF-)EMPLOYMENT IN BIH

Youth employment was the topic of the first meeting of the Forum on youth (self-)employment in BiH, which was held in Sarajevo, on 24 May 2018.

The Forum was founded as a part of the regional project WeB4YES – Western Balkans Civil Society Organization for Youth Employment Support implemented in 6 Western Balkans countries (BiH, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia). The goal of the Forum was to initiate a dialogue among the civil society, government and the business community in order to develop recommendations for policies that will improve youth employment and entrepreneurship.  

The first meeting of the Forum on youth (self-)employment in BiH was attended by representatives of CSOs, the authorities and the business community and included a presentation of the project goals and drafts of Reports on youth employability and active measures for youth. Representatives of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Employment Services of Sarajevo Canton and Una-Sana Canton, FBiH Development Programming Institute, Employers’ Association of FBiH, Youth Council of FBiH, Youth Council of Republika Srpska, Foundation Mozaik, Foundation Infohouse, RYCO BiH, BIT Centar Tuzla, Spark Business Park d.o.o. and many others engaged in constructive dialogue on youth (self-)employment and entrepreneurship.

The Forum was hosted by the Institute for Youth Development KULT.
