Meeting Held With Eco-Rafting Club Rajska plaža in Bratunac

The topic of the meeting held on June 17, 2020 in Bratunac between representatives of the Institute for Youth Development KULT and the Eco-rafting club Rajska plaža, were the project activities as the part of the WeB4YES regional initiative. Eco-rafting club Rajska plaža is working on improving the quality of life in their local community by promoting sports, ecology and tourism and giving young people self-employment opportunities.

They’re particularly focused on youth employment and organizing youth activities. In cooperation with the Civil Alliance for Social Inclusion - CASI from Požega, Serbia, they are implementing the initiative "New practices for a better future" and coordinating activities implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal of the project is to provide easier access to the labor market for young people in Bratunac. They’re focusing on unqualified youth and establishing a sustainable module which includes cooperation among educational institutions, employers, local governments and unemployed young people.

Project activities involve practical and theoretical training for 15 young unemployed persons, in accordance with their profession. They’re cooperating with a high school center in Bratunac, whose staff will provide participants with the necessary theoretical background, before they go on to gain some practical experience in one of the local companies. After completing the training and passing the final exam, participants will receive a certificate. The process of selecting participants is underway, so the training will follow shortly.

The project "New practices for a better future" is part of a small grants scheme within the WeB4YES - Western Balkan Civil Society for Youth Employment Support, implemented with the support of the European Commission.
