Fourth WeB4YES Partner Meeting Held in Sarajevo

Partners in the Western Balkan Civil Society Organisations for Youth Employment Support initiative held a two-day partner meeting in Sarajevo, on 5th and 6th March 2020.

This is the fourth meeting of organizations cooperating on this regional initiative aimed to strengthening intersectoral cooperation in order to support unemployed Western Balkans youth, and provide innovative solutions for improving employment rates and employability. The host of this year’s meeting was the Institute for Youth Development KULT.

The partners spent the two days discussing the results achieved in 2018 and 2019, implemented advocacy campaigns and the progress made by the CSOs supported through the WeB4YES public call for awarding small grants.

The goal of the initiative is to empower civil society organizations to contribute to addressing unemployment and improving the conditions for youth entrepreneurship through advocacy and monitoring at the state and regional level.

The project coordinator is the Belgrade Open School (Serbia), and partners on the project, in addition to the Institute are the Association for Democratic Prosperity - ZID (Montenegro), NGO Lens (Kosovo*), Association Beyond Barriers (Albania), National Youth Council of Macedonia (North Macedonia) and International Olof Palme Center (Sweden).

The Initiative WeB4YES will last until the end of 2020, and is supported by the European Commission, as a part of the Civil Society Facility and Media Program 2016-2017, Support to regional thematic networks of CSOs.
