During January 11-12th, 2020 SHFWH has organized the fifth training of marginalized youth in entrepreneurship “How to become an entrepreneur and entrepreneurship skills” as a part of its project “Create opportunities for employment and self-employment of marginalized youth” under WeB4YES project – Western Balkan Civil Society Organizations for Youth Employment Support.
60 marginalized youth aged 16-30 years of urban and rural areas of Kucove, Albania have participated in the training. Youth came from families in need especially from rural families and Roma and Egyptian community.
The project coordinator Tefta Mala gave a short presentation of the aims of the activity and introduced youth with the 4 planned training sessions in entrepreneurship skills.
The project assistant Kristina Zoga introduced youth with methodology and plan of work for the training session, as well as presented them the social facebook group created for the purpose of exchanging knowledge, ideas and get information on the project.
The training held by national CEFE expert Ylldise Brahimaj, aimed to inform participants on how to be an entrepreneur and grasp the concept of creativity and innovation. Youth were engaged in exercises to bring out their creative abilities, how to analyse and settle goals, drawing path to achieve goals. The training also engaged youth in simulated start up creation, exercises that aided to display creativity, organizing, production, marketing and sale skills.
The training used CEFE methodology combining informal and formal methods especially brainstorming, team work and interaction. All 60 youth were actively involved throughout the training and they gained skills needed to an entrepreneur, innovation, creativity, planning, organizing, know how to market or sale your work.
