"Bridging the Gap between Legal Education and Employment"

Lawyers Association LEGAL Think is an independent, non-profit organization focused on human rights protection and promotion, rule of law, improving the access to justice for all, and professional development of young lawyers. Organisation has been founded in March 2018. Additionally, before the registration of the organisation, its members were involved in implementing an initiative within the grant "Active Citizens for Good Governance" supported by USAID's Civic Engagement Project, which focused on promoting youth participation in the decision-making processes and policy making.

"The Faculties of Law in North Macedonia, regardless if they're on state or private universities, lack in terms of providing their students effective legal practice and development of skills neccessary for practicing law as a profession. Due to this occurence, there's a surplus of law graduates without any practical skills and experience, which results with their difficulty to find employment."

The main objective of the project is to increase the employability of young lawyers in the legal professions. The specific objectives are to strenghten the legal practice capacities of young lawyers; to create conditions for providing professional experience for young lawyers from potential employers in the legal professions; and to increase the level of trust between potential employers from the legal profession and young lawyers.
